CALL FOR PAPERS
New Conference Theme on "Service Intelligence and Service Science" for
6th International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics
August 19-22, 2007, Hong Kong
Conference web site: http://www.icmlc.com
The global economy and organizations are evolving to become service-oriented.
There are recently more and more research works on services provision,
particularly
the application of cybernetics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
Beyond the Service Oriented Architecture, IBM proposed an emerging research and
curriculum area called Service Science to the industry and academia, which is a
combined discipline of technologies including cybernetics, computer science,
industrial and systems engineering, management science, operations research,
marketing, contracts and negotiations; as well as culture transformation and
integration methods based on beliefs, assumptions, principles, and values among
organizations and humans. The creation, operation, and evolution of
such research
and practice raise concerns that range from high-level requirements and policy
modeling through to the deployment of specific implementation technologies
and paradigms, and involve a wide (and ever growing) range of methods, tools,
and technologies. They also cover a broad spectrum of vertical domains,
industry segments, and even governments.
Extended versions of the best papers will be considered for publishing in
a nother special issue of the International Journal of Business
Process Integration
and Management (IJBPIM) in the following year.
