I would suggest either 1) writing the announcement in 
plain text, or 2) publishing it somewhere as an HTML 
document and link to it from the summary in plain text, or 
finally 3) converting it to PDF and sending it through the 
list. Although reluctantly, we can accept PDF. Generally, 
I think there shouldn't be a problem letting your e-mail 
through.

And of course strip the introductory request from the 
e-mail ;-).
