ABOUT PRIMA 2008
==================================================================

PRIMA is a series of workshops on autonomous agents and multi-agents
integrating the activities in Asia and Pacific countries. The emergence
of the agent paradigm is an exciting development in Computer Science and
Information Technology and the paradigm is expected to play a central
role during the coming years in the development of complex distributed
systems and networked systems impacting a wide variety of endeavors in
our civilization. PRIMA '08 will build on the great successes of its
predecessors PRIMA 2007 held in Bangkok, Thailand, PRIMA 2006 in Guilin,
China, PRIMA 2005 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, PRIMA 2004 in Auckland, New
Zealand, PRIMA 2003 in Seoul, Korea, PRIMA 2002 in Tokyo, Japan, PRIMA
2001 in Taipei, Taiwan, PRIMA 2000 in Melbourne, Australia, PRIMA '99 in
Kyoto, Japan, and PRIMA '98 in Singapore.

The workshop endeavors to bring together researchers, developers, and
industry leaders, interested in Agents and Multi-Agent Systems, their
applications and related areas. The workshop offers exceptional
opportunities for presentation of original work, technological advances,
practical problems and concerns of the research community. PRIMA
workshop proceedings are published in the form of a volume in the
Springer Lecture Notes in AI series. The workshop will also feature a
doctoral mentoring program which is focused on supporting the doctoral
students with their research by providing them peer support. Senior
researchers attending the workshop are expected to be available for
interaction with young and promising researchers.

The location of the workshop - Hanoi - is a sacred land of Vietnam.
People have settled here along the Red River for a thousand years.
Nestled along wooded boulevards among the city's two dozen lakes you
will find gems of Vietnamese, Chinese and French architecture.
