Aims and Objectives

This is the 8th in a series of successful international conferences
organized by the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland Chapter of the
IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society with the thematic of
Cybernetic Intelligent Systems. The goal of this CIS 2009 is to bring
together experts from different countries to discuss the state of the
art and to present the new research findings and perspective works with
respect to the conference scope. 

Scope

The program committee solicits high quality papers, from researchers,
practitioners and students, containing original contributions in all
areas of experimental, theoretical and application-oriented aspects of
cybernetic intelligent systems. This includes papers but not limited in
the following areas

*	Soft Computing, which includes Fuzzy Systems, Neuro-Fuzzy
Systems, Neural Network, Genetic Algorithms, Evolutionary Computation
Systems. 
*	Adaptive Computing Systems 
*	Hybrid Systems 
*	DNA Computing Systems 
*	Knowledge and Agent Based Systems 
*	Information Retrieval Systems 
*	Intelligent Systems and Intelligent Transportation Systems 
*	Manufacturing Systems 
*	Machine Vision and Robotic Systems Image Processing and Computer
Vision 
*	Systems Safety and Security 
*	Human-Computer Interaction 

Paper Submission

Prospective authors are strongly encouraged to submit a six page full
paper by the due date electronically in PDF or Postscript format.

Proceedings

Printed proceedings will be distributed during the conference. The
proceedings shall also appear and be indexed by IEEE Xplore. IEEE
