We are proud to announce Jason version 1.2 which is its
"5th anniversary" release.

Jason was first released on 6th Jan 2004, and it has
evolved a great deal since then. It has also grown
significantly in popularity. Last year there has been
an average of some 500 downloads per month, and
version 1.1.2 alone had well over 1000 downloads.
There has been 29 releases of Jason since January
2004, and it's now very stable even though
improvements are often made.

We are also very proud to have published a book
(joint with Mike Wooldridge) which really helps those
interested in learning a new programming paradigm or
developing multi-agent systems.

If you never wrote a multi-agent system using an
agent-oriented programming language, why not
commemorate Jason's 5th birthday with some
programming fun?!
