The School of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer
Science was formed after a University wide re-organisation. The
School is recruiting in a number of areas to strengthen and
develop its research portfolio and to support its research led
teaching activities. Autonomous Systems is an area that we want
to establish a research group that will be recognised for its
outstanding and leading international research excellence.

We seek a motivated, highly professional candidate to provide
academic leadership within the Autonomous Systems area. You will
have an excellent track record of research and leadership in the
area of autonomous systems and will be expected to establish a
research group of the highest international standing. Start-up
funds will also be made available.

We believe that autonomous systems will grow in importance in the
coming decade and we wish to establish a group in this area to
meet the challenges that this growth will present. It is expected
that the group will enjoy synergies, with existing expertise both
throughout the School and with other university departments. We
are happy to consider applicants in any area of autonomous
systems research.

You will enter the School as a senior member of Academic Staff
and as such your main duties and responsibilities will be
commensurate with that position.
