project staff position - InfraKopter - novel methods for multidimensional object modeling from infrared images

The Hochschule Harz (Harz University of Applied Sciences) conducts the project “InfraKopter”, together with a company of the regional economy. It is funded by the German Ministry of Economics and Technology in the Innovation Program for SMEs (ZIM). The project will develop novel methods for multidimensional object modelling from infrared images, recorded by multicopters.

We are looking to recruit a dedicated  project staff. The position is limited until 31 December 2014, full-time (40 hrs / week). The salary will be according to qualification up to salary scale 13 TV-L.

Responsibilities:
a) development of software / interfaces in C, C++, and respective software development kits
b) implementing procedures to multidimensional object modelling
c) participation in the development and construction of a prototype
d) participation in the preparation of project reports (in German)

Prerequisites:
The candidate should have a degree, preferably in computer science. Knowledge in the areas of image processing, mobile robots and machine learning is desirable. We are looking for a person with good software development and communication skills.
