[Event at CIG] Open 2 research engineer/post-doc positions on data sciences

A call for 2 research engineer each of 9-months to develop models and simulation algorithms of the health state of a territory: a case study in monitoring pollen-mold concentrations in Normandy.

Summary :
The project aims at developing models and algorithms for predicting and simulating the health state of a territory. The project consists of two steps.  First, data of pollen-mold related to the health of a territory should be represented, analysed and modelled. Second, the practical interest of prediction and simulation are performed on the prepared data. The framework will then be used to simulate and predict the effect of a public decision (e.g. the requirement to wear masks).
The mission will be located at the GREYC Laboratory (University of Caen Normandy, CNRS UMR 6072), they will start both in January 2022.

Required scientific background:
The candidate must have a Master degree or higher in Computer Science. Candidates with strong scientific skills in data science are recommended for one position, and on spatiotemporal representations and prediction/simulation for the other position.

Appel d'offre de 2 contrats de 9 mois ingénieur de recherche visant à développer  des techniques de modélisation et de simulation de l'état de santé d'un territoire : application à la surveillance de pollens-moisissures en Normandie.
Résumé :
Le projet consiste à représenter, analyser et modéliser l’état de santé d’un territoire et son évolution au cours du temps à partir de données issues de diverses sources ouvertes ou non. Aussi, ce projet doit permettre de simuler des actions permettant de modifier des éléments du territoire et par conséquent l’état de santé de ce dernier. Par exemple, on pourrait mesurer l'effet de l'obligation du port du masque sur la propagation d'un virus.
Les deux missions commencent toutes les deux en Janvier 2022 au laboratoire GREYC (Université de Caen Normandie, CNRS UMR 6072).

Pré-requis :
Le candidat doit être titulaire d'un master ou un diplôme équivalent ou supérieur en informatique. Pour le premier contrat, le candidat doit avoir de solides connaissances en sciences de données (extraction de données et représentation). Pour le deuxième contrat, le candidat doit avoir des compétences en représentation des informations spatiales/temporelles et dans les  domaines de la prédiction et de la simulation.
