PhD Scholarship in Federated Learning University of Surrey

Dr Pedro Porto Buarque de Gusmão and Dr Imalka Jayawardena from the University of Surrey are looking for a highly motivated student to work on solving core challenges in cross-silo FL, including Data Heterogeneity, Privacy, and Resilience to Adversarial Attacks.

The project will have practical applications to photovoltaic technologies in identifying iodide scavengers. The research will be supplemented with supporting experimental activities to be carried out at the Surrey Advanced Technology Institute and broader collaborations with leading groups in Imperial College London and Cambridge. 

Entry requirements:
Open to any UK or international candidates. Up to 30% of our UKRI-funded studentships can be awarded to candidates paying international rate fees. Starting in October 2024.
