Submission and Reviewing
-
Papers must be submitted in PDF format via the EPIA 2026 EasyChair
submission page:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=epia2026
-
Authors should select the thematic track most appropriate for their
submission. Papers may be reassigned to a different track at the discretion
of the Program Chairs if deemed more suitable.
-
All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process and will
be reviewed by at least three members of the EPIA Program Committee.
Authors are responsible for anonymizing their submissions by removing
names, affiliations, and any other identifying information, and for taking
reasonable steps to preserve anonymity throughout the review process.
-
Papers must follow the Springer LNAI format and may not exceed 12 pages.
Authors should also take into account any additional track-specific
submission requirements.
-
Authors are encouraged to consult Springer’s author guidelines
<https://www.springer.com/gp/computer-science/lncs/conference-proceedings-guidelines>
when
preparing their manuscripts. Springer also encourages authors to include
their ORCID identifiers in their papers. In addition, the corresponding
author of each accepted paper, acting on behalf of all co-authors, must
complete and sign a Consent-to-Publish form. The corresponding author
signing this form must match the corresponding author identified in the
paper. Once the final files have been submitted to Springer, changes to
authorship will not be permitted.
-
EPIA 2026 will not accept any paper that, at the time of submission, is
under review for, has already been published in, or has already been
accepted for publication in a journal or another venue with formally
published proceedings. During the EPIA 2026 review period, authors may not
submit the same work to a journal or another venue with formally published
proceedings. As a general rule, publications associated with a DOI,
ISBN, or ISSN should be considered formal publications. Questions
regarding submission eligibility should be addressed to the Program Chairs
at epia2026 at easychair.org before the submission deadline. These
restrictions do not apply to workshops and similar specialized
presentations without formally published proceedings.
-
Generative AI tools do not qualify for authorship of papers submitted to
EPIA 2026. Authors who use large language models or other generative AI
tools at any stage of the writing process remain fully responsible for the
entire content of the submission, including its correctness, originality,
and compliance with plagiarism policies. The use of AI-generated text as
part of the paper’s methodology or experimental analysis is permitted,
provided that it is clearly documented and appropriately described in the
paper.
Proceedings and Presentations
-
At least one co-author of each accepted paper must register for EPIA
2026 by the early registration deadline.
-
Each accepted paper must be presented in person by one of its authors.
-
APPIA will provide limited travel support to co-authors who are student
members of APPIA.
-
Accepted and presented papers will be included in the conference
proceedings, published in Springer’s LNAI – Lecture Notes in Artificial
Intelligence series.
-
EPIA proceedings are indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, DBLP, and Google
Scholar.
Awards
EPIA 2026 will present the following awards:
-
Best Paper Award – for the best research paper presented at the
conference
-
Best Application Paper Award – for the best application-oriented paper
presented at the conference
-
Best Student Paper Award – for the best research paper presented at the
conference whose first author is a student
