Call for Papers: NGCS 2027
*IEEE International Conference on Next Generation Cyber Security Systems*
*San Antonio, USA and Hybrid| 15–18 March 2027*
*Theme: AI for Security and Security for AI.*
Scope and Contributions
NGCS 2027 welcomes original work connecting artificial intelligence, cyber
security, and quantum-ready protection. Contributions may develop defenses
for AI models, agents, and their supporting infrastructure; use intelligent
methods to improve cyber defense; or help organizations prepare their
systems and data for post-quantum threats.
Alongside research papers, we welcome deployment case studies, benchmark
evaluations, negative findings, replication studies, comparative applied
studies, validation methods, and assessments of security impact. Papers
should provide rigorous evidence and clearly explain their contribution to
protection in realistic settings.
Research Themes
Topics within the following six themes include, but are not limited to:
Theme 1: Security for AI Systems
- Adversarial attacks, defensive testing, and robustness of learned
models
- Defenses against malicious prompts, poisoned datasets, and model theft
- Protection of AI agents, development pipelines, and model supply chains
- Privacy safeguards, explainability, and trustworthy AI operation
Theme 2: AI for Cyber Security
- Intelligent detection of threats and prioritization of security alerts
- Learning-based analysis of malware and software weaknesses
- Automated containment, incident response, and restoration
- Collaboration between analysts and AI in security operations
Theme 3: Quantum-Ready Security
- Post-quantum cryptographic methods and adaptable cryptographic systems
- Identity, authentication, and key handling resilient to quantum threats
- Hybrid protocols and practical transition strategies
- Protecting long-lived confidential data from future decryption
Theme 4: Secure Software, Cloud and Infrastructure
- Security throughout software development, delivery, and deployment
- Hardening cloud-native environments and infrastructure definitions
- Application defenses, zero-trust approaches, and vulnerability
remediation
- Runtime safeguards, monitoring, and resilient system design
Theme 5: Threat Intelligence and Incident Response
- AI-supported threat hunting and integration of intelligence sources
- Methods for detecting, handling, and recovering from incidents
- Coordinating and automating operational defenses
- Threat analysis, attribution methods, and defensive deception
Theme 6: Risk, Governance and Human Security
- Assessing and managing AI-related and quantum-related security risks
- Human behavior, oversight, and decisions in secure system operation
- Organizational preparedness and planning for resilience
- Security policy, ethical questions, regulation, and governance
